In this amazing interview, Ev shares who inspires her in her career, how would her 10-year-old self react to what she does now, and more so let’s get started!
1. Who or what inspires you in your career?
I am inspired by the people I work with at WA. The leadership team does an amazing job keeping me straight and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes!
I’m inspired by the coaches. They have an incredible way of connecting with their students and teaching them the content in a meaningful and engaging way. They never try to force anything.. when one way doesn’t work. They try something else! It’s really amazing to be part of this group!
Finally, I’m inspired by the students and families we serve. I know how hard it is to struggle as a student and the tension it causes the family. Our clients/families invest their time/ energy and resources because they trust us! I’m so happy we are able to provide this service to the community!
2. What’s something you want more people to know about?
I would like people to know that we come from a strength-based approach at WA. We know our students struggle with academics or organization but we also know that they have amazing gifts too! We do our best to help students recognize and really tap into their strengths while building their skills in the areas that are harder for them.
3. What are you passionate about? Favorite hobby?
I am passionate about learning. I am always reading or listening to something new to help me understand our students better. I think it’s important to be a lifelong learner.
I have so many things I love to do. I love spending time with my family/friends. I love to try new restaurants/ listen to live music / musical theater. My favorite hobby is traveling… I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to travel to some really great places with very special people!
4. How would your 10-year-old self react to what you do now?
My 10-year-old self was a lot like the students we see in the office.. disorganized/ late on assignments/daydreamer/ always told to pay attention! I think she’d be happy that we are helping students like her. I wish I had a place like WA to go to when I was a kid 🙂

Behind the scenes, we will personalize and prioritize task lists for your student through access to their school’s online learning platform. These lists will be sent to students and parents weekly on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday between 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
